Besides being a monumental waste of my time, the relationship was emotionally taxing and literally physically exhausting. He was most likely a sex addict, and I think that fed into the desire to add more women to the relationship – so I tried to “keep up”, which just tired me out, as always.
No matter my efforts, I was always suspicious of his… ahem… coming and going, and never safe in where we stood.
The point is, you can’t suppress that desire and you can’t ignore it. It becomes the third person in your relationship whether you want one or not.
And eventually it comes to a head.
One night we got drunk, and he invited a cute European girl to come back to the apartment to continue drinking, and then he made me think I wanted a threesome with her. Not me. We didn’t.
The night before I ended things, I found out that he had been on a health retreat with several women. So we had moved on to outright bulk cheats, cute.
That was clearly the straw that broke my back.
But when it came down to it, it was pretty easy. He wanted it to be open; Not me.
That is why I would advise Felix against going down this road. The ambiguity eats at you. You need answers.
So for you and all of Australia, have a SUPER mindful conversation with the two of you and figure it out.
Or choose the sweet Abigail and avoid ending up in a never-ending ménage à trois that you didn’t actually sign up for.
