The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse anime revealed the first teaser trailer along with a 2023 premiere date. Telecom Animation Film is animating the adaptation and Sho Komura voices the protagonist, Percival. This is the voice actor’s first major role.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse is the sequel to Nakaba Suzuki’s very popular Seven deadly sins series. The manga began serialization in 2021 right after the original series ended. There are currently 10 volumes in total. The anime was announced in May 2022. Kodansha publishes the manga in English and describes the plot as:

In the world of The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, Percival has always lived with his grandfather on the idyllic, remote God’s Finger. And while Percival loves the simple life, he longs for adventure. That is, until adventure knocks at his door, snatching everything he’s ever known and leaving him alone in the world. Now Percival has no choice but to go out into the world and see what it has in store… it’s his destiny after all!

The original Seven deadly sins manga also has an anime adaptation with 4 seasons and 2 movies. The first 2 seasons and Prisoners of Heaven movie were animated by A-1 Pictures. Studio DEEN took over for seasons 3 and 4, and the latest movie Cursed by Light served as an anime-only sequel. TV anime was exclusive to Netflix worldwide, while the films were shown theatrically in Japan. All seasons and both movies, as well as a special OVA series, are now available on Netflix.

An original CGI movie titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Edinburgh’s Resentments is also in the works and will premiere later this year.
